What in the world does COVID-19 and Biblical Eschatology have to do with each other? Well, the short answer is, not much of anything, directly. The correlation is indirect, but there is a correlation. In other words, the Bible does not say anything about this specific incident. COVID-19 is not a plague spoken of in prophecy. So, there is no direct correlation. But the things that are happening because of COVID-19 are indirectly spoken of in Biblical prophecy. In the next few paragraphs, I’ll explain the correlation.
Biblical Eschatology
First, let me share how Biblical eschatology is defined. Simply put, it is the study of the prophecies within the Bible. Since the Bible and the Hebrew texts that Christians call the Old Testament are the only 100% accurate predictive religious texts that have ever existed, you can believe them. In other words, if the Bible says it, you can believe it with 100% confidence.
Where does COVID-19 and Biblical Eschatology meet?
The first meeting place is a building fear that results in a need for people to ask their respective governments to intercede. People want peace and security (safety). But the Bible says, “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3. The people clamoring for this peace and security will start relying on their governments instead of relying on God. Through fear, this feeling of needing the government to fix things is becoming more and more prevalent. Prevalent, especially in people under the age of 60 or those of any age that rejects God. The fear created by occurrences worldwide is only part of the equation. The other part is that people don’t know their destination when they die. These fears, combined with uncertainty, making them rely on their governments.
The Second COVID-19 and Biblical Eschatology Correlation
This fear will lead the people everywhere, to desire a one-world government. They will assume that a one-world government will mean greater equality and division of goods and services. But this one-world government is spoken of in scripture in a very negative way. The Anti-Christ will establish this one-world government during the 7-year tribulation. The seven years of (figuratively speaking) hell on earth. The Bible clearly states that the Christians will be raptured (snatched away) to heaven before this tribulation occurs. But the poor hapless people left behind will clamor that much more for a savior and one-world government to fix everything. So, in steps the Anti-Christ and he creates the government that will steal all civil liberties and usher in the tribulation.
What to Expect During the Tribulation?
Those left behind will witness millions of Christians disappear. This disappearance will intensify the fear and burden they already have. Then the Anti-Christ (who is probably alive today) will step on the scene. He will establish a dictatorship over almost the entire world, but there will be pockets of resistance. He will create a one-world currency, one-world economy, and one-world government. Furthermore, he will establish all of this through cunning lies, charm, and by playing on the people’s fears. He will appear to be their savior at first, but then he will turn on them, and his bloody savagery will ensue. That bloody dictatorial savagery will not stop until Jesus returns for His thousand-year reign. Also known as the Millennial Reign.
COVID-19 and Biblical Eschatology Conclusion
The COVID-19 is being employed by corrupt people and Satan to build fear in the people of the world. Just a few decades ago, it would have been impossible to strike fear into the world as a whole. But due to the improvements in global communication and media coverage, today, it’s possible. We are under a bombardment of fear-mongering, daily. If you don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior, if you don’t know you are heaven bound, you will give in to this fear-mongering. It will take charge of your life and cause you to give up your civil liberties and accept government rule.
What About Christians?
Fortunately, if you’re not a Christian, you can be one today. You can choose to rely on God and not the government. Consequently, that is precisely why governments worldwide hate Christianity. Because they know only Christians are genuinely free. We rely on God by faith, not by commandment. We are God’s willing servants, not his downtrodden slaves. So, our reliance on the government is negligible. We need them only to maintain order for non-Christians. Government is unnecessary because true Christians maintain order spontaneously by God’s Word, the Bible. We have little or no need for “the government.”
So, the COVID-19 crisis is nothing more than a fear-mongering ploy orchestrated by corrupt people in league with Satan to spark the end-times. It only takes a spark to start a fire, and that’s precisely what COVID-19 is, a spark that will help lead to fiery destruction led by the Anti-Christ. A fire fueled by FEAR.
Percentage of COVID-19 Deaths Versus the World Population
0.0025% of the people in the world have died from COVID-19. According to the World Population Clock, there are almost 7.8 Billion people on the earth, and according to today’s report, there have been less than 200,000 deaths worldwide from COVID-19. You will almost certainly NOT die from COVID-19. Remember, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
