The Millennial Kingdom of Christ occurs after the tribulation. It is a 1,000-year period when Jesus Christ sets up His kingdom. Consequently, comprised of the remnant of humans that made it through the Tribulation and have accepted Christ. Jesus Christ will rule this remnant of humanity. The Saints of God that are alive and transfigured at the rapture will assist as regional governors. It will be an amazing time! Read on to learn the details.
The Tribulation Ends
The very first thing that happens just before the Millennial Kingdom of Christ is a brief period of pause. Daniel 12:12 says, “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.” The tribulation lasts 1,290 days, so there are an extra 45 days after the tribulation before Christ’s return. Judgment will come to those that make it through the tribulation (only a few million). Most scholars agree to the following timeline.
The 45 days after the Tribulation
First
The Lake of Fire will be the permanent prison of antichrist and the false prophet. These two will be the first residents of this eternal punishment lake of burning sulfur.
Second
The bottomless pit is the first destination of Satan. Thus, a sort of prison just for him. He gets let lose briefly at the end of the Millennial Kingdom.
Third
People who accept Christ during the tribulation and die will be resurrected. This is also when they get their resurrection bodies. Healthy and perfect in every way, just like those that left earth in the rapture.
Fourth
Christ, his angels and everyone in heaven cascade out of heaven during their return to earth. Christ speaks and supernaturally the armies of the antichrist are destroyed.
The Start of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
Jesus Returns! Halleluiah! As his foot touches the Mount of Olives, a global earthquake occurs. It levels every mountain and island and also pushes Jerusalem up. This makes Jerusalem the highest point on the planet and it is supernaturally preserved. It doesn’t crumble into pieces.
The Judgement of Nation during the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
Then comes the judgment of nations. Matthew 25:32 says, “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.” Remember that prior to the end of the tribulation the two witnesses and the 144,000 Jews were preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They were spreading the word to everyone. So, at this Judgement of Nations, all those that haven’t accepted Christ are cast into the Lake of Fire. These are the second residents of the Lake of Fire. Therefore, only the born-again believers that accept Christ during the tribulation or during the 45 days after the tribulation are to remain on earth.
The Judgement of the Jews during the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
This will probably occur concurrently with the Judgement of Nations. Jesus will gather all Jews from all over the earth. He will relocate them to the Promised Land described in Genesis 15:18 and Genesis 17:8. He will separate those that have accepted Christ from those that have not. So, believers will enter the Millennial Kingdom. The rest are cast into the Lake of Fire. Hence, both this group of Jews and the Gentile believers mentioned in the Judgement of Nations will enter into the Millennial Kingdom as mortals. They will marry, have children, grow old and die just like we do now.
Jesus Establishes His Millennial Kingdom of Christ
Jesus will create a new global government ruled from Jerusalem. The saints (born-again believers) that return with him will establish governmental, judicial and spiritual leadership. The Jews will also be leaders in the Promised Land. While the Gentiles will be leadership everywhere else. This is shared in 2 Timothy 2:12 and also in Revelation 3:21. “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
Christ’s Blessings on the Earth During the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
First
The land will be blessed. It will become like the earth during the time of Adam and Eve. I assume that the Promised Land will be like the Garden of Eden.
Second
Food will be readily available. No one on earth will feel the pain of hunger.
Third
All the animals of the earth will live in harmony. This is written in Isaiah 11:6-7. “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.”
Forth
People will live much longer during this the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. According to Isaiah 65:20 infants will not experience crib death. A person dying at 100 years old will be tantamount to dying young. So, the people born during these 1,000 years can expect to live well over 100 years, possibly hundreds of years. But they will eventually die.
Fifth
There is no longer disease and pestilence on the earth. So, no more worrying about the flu, measles, flesh-eating bacteria, or the Ebola virus. No one will have any infirmities either. There will be no blind or deaf. Thus, no disease or infirmities will plague humanity.
Finally
Everyone will be prosperous and this will also lead to virtually everyone being filled with joy and happiness. Everyone will have everything they need and have no want of anything extra. This is written in Jeremiah 31:12-14.
The Perfect Government During the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
This government will be global and all-inclusive. Consequently, Jerusalem will be the seat of power and all law, judgments, and rulings come from Christ. Jesus will be the ruler and will rule wisely and justly. Consequently, Christ’s government will be completely effective at keeping the peace, ruling, and providing equality for every individual. The Millennial Kingdom of Christ will maintain global peace until the very end of the millennium.
Spiritual Blessings During the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
During the tribulation, the Holy Spirit departs with the Saints in the Rapture. Some disagree because they feel that the presence of the Holy Spirit is necessary for salvation. I disagree. All of the original Apostles were born-again prior to Pentecost. Before Christ died, he promised that he would send a helper. That helper was delivered at Pentecost as described in Acts chapter 2. So, while today the Holy Spirit provides the need or compulsion for people to accept Christ as Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit is not a requirement for salvation. Unless you feel the Apostles were not saved until after Pentecost. But at this time Judas was still one of the 12. So, did he also get saved at Pentecost? I think not!
The Blessings
First
The Holy Spirit will be present and indwell all believers. This is written in Isaiah 44:3 and Ezekiel 37:14. Please note that the Spirit will only fill the hearts of believers. While only believers will enter into the Millennial Kingdom of Christ their offspring will have a choice. The same choice we have today. Either believe or reject Christ, so their fate will depend on their decision. Most will choose to accept Christ.
Second
Righteousness and obedience to the Lord will prevail all over the earth. Especially at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. Because everyone is a follower of Christ at that time. But this righteous living will extend well into the Kingdom’s 1,000 years. Especially due to people living much longer lives. They will carry their love for Christ in their hearts for possibly hundreds of years.
Third
Holiness and faithfulness will prevail and the entire world will worship the Lord Jesus Christ. The faithfulness of the people will be so complete that they will live holy lives. Only near the very end of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ will this not be globally true. So, non- believers will gradually be born and they will participate in the final battle. That the Bible says they cannot win. Thus, if you have read your Bible you know, Christ wins! Halleluiah!
Final Thoughts About the Millennial Kingdom of Christ
The Millennial Kingdom of Christ will be an amazing and wonderous time all the way to the end. Then the release of Satan happens for a season. So, for people living during those 1,000 years, it will be a glorious time. It will rival the perfection of the Garden of Eden. I’ll be there as a Saint of God in a perfect transfigured body and you can be too. You just need to go ahead and accept Christ as Lord and Savior Now.
Why Wait?
Why try to live through the tribulation? You have only a tiny possibility of making it to the Millennium. Even then, if you’re not a child of God your reward is the Lake of Fire. Just imagine that. You live through the worst chapter of human history, just to get thrown into the Lake of Fire for eternity. Wow! That’s depressing and horrifying. Remember, only the saved born-again believers get to enter into the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. Don’t wait! Accept Him NOW!
