The Millennium of the Lord’s reign on Earth was complete and Satan was released without fanfare or warning. Jesus sent Yael, Chief of the Cherubim to break the seal on the bottomless pit and to unchain Satan. After Satan was free of the chains, he cowardly rushed out past Yael and fled. The release of Satan was a promise of the Lord, and He keeps His promises. The revelation that was written over 3,000 years ago promised Satan’s release.
“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.” (Revelation 20:7-8) By now the population of the Earth had reached an astounding 8.8 billion people, more people than had ever lived on the earth in all of its 7,000 plus years of history.
The evil of the sons of man was now being manipulated by Satan himself, publicly. He started subtly, but then quickly became overt in his activities of leading people astray. He no longer hid in the shadows but was boldly proclaiming his reign on Earth. He was very charismatic and was an expert deceiver and manipulator. Hundreds of thousands followed him overtly, others followed him in secret. Yet others were caught up in their own lives and paid no attention to what was going on in the world, they were worshiping their own gods of riches, fame, possessions or their professions. Others refused to believe anything spiritual even existed, reverting back to the antiquated, false religion of Atheism. Still, others were backslidden and compromised Christians, but continuing to profess Christ as their Lord (when the mood struck them). Fortunately, some kept on the straight and narrow path that leads to fellowship with God and a personal relationship with Jesus. All Christians that have professed our Lord as Lord of their lives, and are born again, are saved and always will be. But the Christians that I would consider true Christians, are not only saved by God’s grace but following in the footsteps of Jesus and obeying His example to the best of their ability. The sons of man were in big trouble. True to His word, our Lord allowed this to happen. He did this not to cause harm, Satan and sinful men and women were managing that quite nicely on their own. No, our Lord allowed this in order to separate the wheat from the chaff. In other words, He was separating those that will willingly serve Him, of their own free will, no matter what, from those that would reject Him, of their own free will.
Satan, through trickery and lies, quickly gathered a collection of supporters. Those supporters led many to follow Satan, by preaching Satan’s lies, until they had become a cohort of misguided masses numbering in the millions. Satan promised them ridiculous things like:
“Those that followed me and do my bidding exceptionally well, will be carried off to far away worlds in distant star systems with followers of their own, and they will rule their people on those far away planets as their gods,” or crazy stuff like.
“Those men that follow me will be given virgins in heaven, and if you are martyred for me, you might receive as many as 72 virgins.
Yah, right, when pigs fly on gossamer wings! He filled their minds with grand nonsense and promised them everything, even though he had nothing but lies, and his following grew. Many even started worshiping Satan as their god and hated Christ. Then as he did over a thousand years before, Satan, that goofy, arrogant, old adversary with delusions of grandeur, gathered Armies. Warriors from all across the globe answered his call to rebel against our precious Lord. Weaponry, vastly superior to anything that existed in the early 21st Century was at their command. They quickly developed this weaponry from the study of past weapons and integrating that knowledge with that of their much more advanced current technology. They had smart weapons that could travel vast distances and around obstacles, which were so accurate that they could hit a target that was the diameter of the period at the end of this sentence. The armies were even vaster than the armies defeated at Megiddo during the Battle of Armageddon. Satan and the unsaved sons of man were heading headlong into yet another war against the Creator, Master, and Sustainer of the universe. The stupidity of it was mind boggling.
Over the period of a little over five years, Satan deceived millions and gathered his followers into armies. When he felt that he had gathered all those senseless enough to follow him, he gathered all his armies around the city of Jerusalem. The city was completely surrounded and every weapon known to man was aimed at Jerusalem. Satan gathered a standing army of over 6 million men and women, with additional men and women as aircraft pilots, troop support personnel, air support personnel, and ship crewmen in vast fleets of ships capable of striking Jerusalem from the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The vast army of fighting men and women and support personnel numbered 13 million strong. They were gradually filling the region around Jerusalem, filling the West Bank and eastern Israel with Satan’s vast armies. The army of Satan was many times greater than any army that had ever existed.
We in the city weren’t worried. We had read the Book, so we already knew Who won in the end. The Bible is very clear on this, and its prophecies always come true. So we just carried on like nothing was happening, busily doing our jobs in service to our Lord Jesus. The armies of Satan didn’t know that though and started a useless campaign of psychological warfare. They set up huge speakers and also set up for broadcasting on every channel on every type of communication system. Once set up, they started preaching Satan as lord and begging us to serve him. The begging and pleading failed, so they started ordering us to serve him. Then they started casting dispersions, cursing and threatening us. None of it mattered though; our transfigured minds were immune to such mundane irritants, and our transfigured bodies were eternal. We were immortal and forever sealed in service to our Lord, and nothing could change that. Those sons of man that stayed true to our Lord and were serving in Jerusalem had the transfigured Saints of God and Angels to comfort and protect them, so they were frightened and apprehensive, but they were also confident they were safe. All the commotion outside the city was a mere nuisance to those of us within the city.
Then Satan and his armies attacked in full force, holding nothing in reserve. They started by sending a massive aerial and sea bombardment our way. The sky was peppered with shells, rockets, and missiles all headed for Jerusalem. They were riding on horseback, driving vehicles, flying in aircraft, and yes even running toward us with bloodthirsty thoughts on their minds and murder in their hearts. As the first of these shells, rockets and missiles were just yards from the city, and when the bursts of energy from the vehicle mounted energy plasma pulse cannons and conventional weapons were just yards from the city, God showed up. Amen!
God looked down from heaven and spoke. The words of God vaporized the weapons and absorbed the energy from the energy pulse weapons. God then rained down fire from heaven and it consumed them all, destroying their vehicles, planes, shredding the soldiers and burning their flesh – as it was written.
“And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”
God’s will had been done and the armies of Satan perished in an instant, never standing a chance. They were vaporized and for those who knew the Lord, this conclusion was inevitable. It was written.
“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
Satan, the last creature in his army that was still alive, was stripped of his power by God. Then he was captured by Cherubim and cast headlong toward the Lake of Fire, his body flailing as he plummeted screaming and then landed with a splash in the flames of burning brimstone (sulfur), never to be released again. Satan (the Devil), the Beast (Antichrist) and the False Prophet (the Antichrist’s herald), suffered in that permanent prison of torment, pain, thirst and hunger, and worst of all, suffered permanent separation from our precious Lord.
