Transfigured to Serve Chapter 13

All those that died or were martyred for Christ’s sake during the Tribulation or Millennial Reign, and that never took the mark of the beast or worshiped his image, were resurrected and transfigured.  All the sons of man that were still alive after the millennial reign and saved by God’s glorious grace were also instantly transfigured.  This was the second resurrection.  God the Father descended from heaven on a glistening great white throne.  God then gathered all the unsaved dead that had rejected Him, the important and the inconsequential, from the land and from the sea, and all those dwelling in the torments of hell, all the graves gave up their dead.  God gathered the dead to Himself and a book was presented to God by Jesus.  The book was the Lamb’s Book of Life, and the dead were about to be judged by God from His Great White Throne of Judgment, in accordance with what was written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  All their works were to be righteously judged by the only worthy judge, our Lord God Almighty.  Praise His powerful almighty name!

Transfigured to Serve Chapter 13

Then the current Heavens and Earth were consumed with fire.  The light was so bright that the Saints and Angels had to close their eyes and cup their hands over their faces.  All the galaxies, stars, solar systems, the sun, the moon, and the Earth were completely consumed in a fiery surge and vanished in a vaporous – poof – from existence.  The transfigured Saints hung suspended in space in well-ordered military formation to the right hand of God’s holy throne, under the protection of God’s great power.  The Angels hung suspended in space in well-ordered formation behind God’s throne.  The Seraphim and Cherubim were positioned in a semi-circle around God’s Throne, to His right, left and behind Him.  The dead that God called out of their graves were suspended in a muddled mob to the left of His mighty throne.  The Lake of Fire, that permanent prison of flame, brimstone, torment, and judgment was several hundred yards directly in front of God’s throne.  It was an amazing spectacle to see, with all the transfigured hovering in space in one massive group of billions and the resurrected dead sons of man hovering in another group of tens of billions around the Great White Throne of God.  Death itself was cast into the Lake of Fire so that no one else would ever die.  Hell was likewise cast into the Lake of Fire because it would never be needed again.

Then it came time for the Great White Throne Judgment for each of those throughout history that rejected God.  Each of the dead approached the throne.  They either came of their own accord or were dragged kicking, screaming and fighting to the throne of God by Angels, and as it was written long ago.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Vast unsaved lost multitudes from Hell, and the Earth was judged, and as they approached the throne or were dragged to the throne, the Lambs Book of Life was consulted and the Lord spoke to each individual.

“You!  Step forward,” God said, in a thundering voice, and the wretched soul walked or was dragged forward.

“Witness your life,” the Lord God Almighty proclaimed.  Instantly all of the sinner’s sins and deplorable deeds and good deeds were revealed.  Their vile deeds were revealed and were judged to warrant death, and their good deeds were revealed and were found to be of less value than filthy rags, for as it was written long, long ago.

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…  (Isaiah 64:6)

“Who are you?  And who are you to Me?  Our Great God inquired in a deafening voice that would easily have shaken buildings and shattered glass on Earth.

Each of the dead in terror replied, providing their name, and then many would fall prostrate, kneel, plead and beg for forgiveness and mercy.  Others made every imaginable excuse to escape God’s justifiable wrath.

“But God, I was a good person…”

“But God, I was a church member and Sunday school teacher…”

“But God, I was tricked by those preaching evolution and humanism…”

“But God, I thought I had more time to choose to accept Christ…”

“But God, can’t I just accept your Son now?”

“But God, the Devil made me do it…”

“But God, I’m sorry, can’t you just forgive me now?”

“But God, I was never told about your Son…”

“But God, I would have believed, if I would have been convinced…”

“But God, if I could only have been told about Jesus one more time…”

So many excuses and supplications were presented, but it was to no avail.  The Lord God listened patiently, giving them every opportunity to plead their case.  Then God opened the Lamb’s Book of Life.  He perused the names in The Book, and then he looked up at the wretched soul standing before His throne.

“I do not see your name; it is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  Depart from me, because I never knew you,” the Lord God Almighty commanded.

Over and over He said it as each of the dead stood individually before Him pleading their case.

“I do not see your name; it is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  Depart from me, because I never knew you.”  None were found worthy because they rejected our Lord Jesus, the Christ.

After God proclaimed that He didn’t know them, powerful Angels would grab the individual and cast them into the Lake of Fire.  I don’t mean gently push them over the edge into the Lake of Fire.  I mean they grabbed them and then threw their poor wretched bodies hundreds of yards as they flailed and screamed in-flight plummeting to their eternal prison in the burning Lake of Fire.  They had innumerable chances to choose Christ, but they chose to reject Him.  They made the choice, so they received the just consequences of their decision.

After many long hours, the last of the dead were cast into the Lake of Fire.  The process could have taken several million years, but as He did during the Judgment Seat of Christ, He altered our perception of time.  God is the creator of time, so even time obeys His almighty will.  The dead had been righteously judged.

Transfigured to Serve Chapter 13

Then God created a New Heaven, speaking it into existence in an instant.  Then all those suspended in empty space, Jesus, the transfigured Saints, and the Angels and the Lord on His throne ascended toward the New Jerusalem in the New Heaven.  I could see the great white walls of Jasper stone glistening in the light of our Lord.  As we drew closer the details of the walls became clearer.  The wall’s foundation was encrusted with beautiful jewels and precious stones.  As I proceeded toward one of the 12 gates, I looked around at the astounding grandeur.  The walls of the city were very thick to accommodate the pearl gates, each of which was 70 feet tall.  Each gate was one gargantuan perfect pearlescent white pearl, a little larger than the opening of the gate, and rolled in a slight concave groove crossing through the street of gold about 3 feet wide and a couple of inches deep, matching the convex diameter of the pearl.  The gates were never closed though because, with no danger of attack, they never needed to be closed.  They remained opened for unencumbered passage.

The gate I entered through was one of the western gates.  It was the gate of the tribe, Dan, marked at the entry by various sizes of polished Sardonyx gemstones on either side of the gate, some as large as a car steering wheel.  They were beautiful red-amber semi-transparent gemstones with white streaks, set in place to differentiate the gate of the tribe of Dan from all the others.  Above the gate, in thick 12 feet high gold letters were the name Dan, and at its foundation the name of the apostle Philip in thick 12 feet high gold letters.  Each gate is marked in this manner, with one of the 12 tribes named and one of the 12 apostles named and all the stones were round and polished spheres, not facetted, and were set halfway into the white jasper walls of the city in gold settings, leaving a half-sphere protruding from the wall.

The gems, the settings, and the names in gold were amazing and very beautiful ornamentations on the massive glistening white stone walls of the city.  The city walls were 150 feet thick and 170 feet tall and encircled the city in a dodecagon (12-sided polygon), with 200 feet tall towers at each of the 12 corners.  The foundation of each of the 12 walls was one flawless solid block of precious stone, matching the stones that adorned the central gate, in accordance with each tribe of Israel and the associated Apostle.  Sprawling highways of pure gold passed through each gate that was situated in the center of each of the 12 walls, creating a spoke-like configuration.  Each street of gold led directly into the city and many divergent roads linked them in a web-like mesh within the city walls.

The city within the gates was made entirely of pure gold, including the streets.  There was no temple, because God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, our Triune God was the Temple.  The Lord God’s throne drifted to a stop, on the center of the roof of the city, landing next to Jesus’ gold throne.  Then Jesus sat down at the right hand of God on His throne.  A river began flowing from both the throne of God and the throne of Jesus (the Lamb of God) and cascaded down the center of the city in a waterfall that plummeted into a central pool.  The pool was the shape of a dodecagon with 12 cascading gentle waterfalls emptying into the deep channels in the divided main golden streets of the city.  On either side of the rivers a tree of life sprung forth and grew into a tree in seconds, and on the tree 12 different fruits grew, and later I would learn that a new fresh crop of fruit grew each month.  The water pure and clear ran through the deep channels in the gold highways exiting the city and streaming out into the area within the city walls.  The water of life then diverted left and right at each city gate and then cascaded into channels that ran under the walls.  The water cascaded into pools that emptied into rivers that spread out across the land.

Transfigured to Serve Chapter 13

Then God created the New Earth, gathering the land and the water in an instant.

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.”  (Genesis 1:11) The New Earth was beautiful and lush, with beautiful trees, grasses, flowering plants, fruit and nut-bearing trees and plants with vast grassy plains and all the vegetation was edible and delicious.

“And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.”  (Genesis 1:20) Aquatic animals burst forth into existence, fish, amphibians, sea mammals and birds and all the other aquatic life that swims or creeps in the streams, lakes, and oceans.  Birds of every created kind appeared in the sky and on the ground and in the water, and the Earth was filled again with aquatic creatures, fish and fowl.

“And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.”  (Genesis 1:24) Air-breathing land animals burst forth on the New Earth and land-dwelling creatures of every kind appeared.  The great plains were filled, the forests were filled and the swamps and deserts were filled with animals and creeping things.  The Lord ordered all the creatures that He created to live in peace and harmony.  He ordered them all to eat the flora of the Earth and ordered them to not harm each other.

“The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock…”  (Isaiah 65:25) Every living creature was strictly vegetarian.

The Earth was completed in moments.  The Lord was the light of this world both spiritually and literally, so no sun, moon or stars were needed.  The New Earth was bathed in the eternal light of our Lord and there was no night, only perpetual day.

Then the great city the New Jerusalem descended from the New Heaven and it gently came to rest on the New Earth, and as it was written.

“And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,” (Revelation 21:10).  “And the city lieth foursquare and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs.  The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.”  (Revelation 21:16)

The enormous New Jerusalem was 1,500 miles wide, 1,500 miles in length and 1,500 miles high.  On the old Earth that would have put the top 140 floors extending past the mesosphere into the ionosphere.  The New Earth was ten times the size of the old Earth and its troposphere extended out 2,500 miles, easily accommodating the New Jerusalem and its city walls.  There was no need for a stratosphere, ozone layer, mesosphere or ionosphere.  The Earth gently spun on its axis to promote the agitation of the seas and atmosphere to keep them healthy and vital.  The light of our Lord reached every plant worldwide promoting their vitality.  The gravity differential and increased atmospheric pressure were irrelevant to our transfigured bodies and irrelevant to the new living creations that God made because they were specifically created for their environment.  The Earth and the heavens were filled with the glorious light of our Lord and there was no blackness in the heavens or dark places on Earth.  It was a glorious new world, of perfect harmony, filled with God’s magnificent creations.  The second creation was complete and God proclaimed it to be very good.  In fact, it was perfect.  Praise His omnipotent power!

Transfigured to Serve Chapter 13

We all settled into the New Jerusalem that God provided on our New Earth.  The solid gold city, Jerusalem, was the center of worship, praise, service, entertainment, and many other activities.  It was also the home of our Lord Jesus and the workplace of his Saints.  Each of the transfigured Saints of God was provided a mansion within the great city walls.  There were several assigned the task of distributing mansions to the Saints of God and I was one of them.  Those that had a mansion in the old Heaven had it exactly re-created on the New Earth.  It was an unexpected gift from God that I welcomed.  I moved into my wonderful mansion that very day.  I also had the opportunity to assign my wife’s mansion to its final location, so Evie had her recreated mansion located directly across the street from my mansion.  We who were assigned to the task of assigning mansions tried to accommodate any special location requests for the recreated mansions.  The new Saints of God that accepted Christ during the Tribulation or Millennial Reign were assigned their mansions too.  God and all His created beings settled into our new homes.

We could freely travel anywhere on the Earth by simply teleporting ourselves where we wanted to go, and we vanished from one place to instantly appear at the location in our thoughts.  Over the next several weeks, after my daily tasks were complete, I explored.  I saw amazing trees, plants, and animals.  I saw gorgeous vistas and waterways with such incredible beauty and grandeur that they took my breath away.  Every plant was edible and delicious, even those that didn’t look appetizing, and God also provided fruits from the trees of life and the water of life that would help sustain us eternally.  All the animals that God created ate vegetation exclusively and thrived.  The animals no longer had fear of us and we could approach them and pet them and watch them play and graze and browse and they were eternal like us, so no offspring were necessary.  Death was abolished, never to plague Earth again.  Disease and infection were abolished providing for perfect health for all the created creatures on our New Earth and perfect health for all of God’s transfigured Saints.  Accidental injuries healed instantaneously and our transfigured bodies never aged or became infirmed.

Many animals that God created for His New Earth were easily recognizable, but some were new and exotic and others were re-birthed after going extinct many centuries ago on the old Earth.  Dinosaurs once again roamed the Earth, but none much larger than a horse.  Yes, some were even theropods (i.e. T. rex, Allosaurus, and Velociraptor), but this was a New Earth and all the creatures on it ate vegetation and lived in harmony, including dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and dinosaur-like marine reptiles.  Beautiful birds filled the sky, and as they were roosting you could walk up and touch them, and they were not afraid.  You could swim in any river, lake or ocean without fear of being bitten, stung or eaten.  It was a beautiful perfectly created ecosystem sustained by God.  It was truly remarkable and beautiful.  All praise honor and glory to our omnipotent, omniscient Lord!

God Himself chose to dwell together with His saints, and His creations on the New Earth and the New Heaven merged with the New Earth and became the dwelling place of God’s Saints and Angels.  There were 12 Angels that stood at the 12 gates of the city: tirelessly vigilant in their task.

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”  (Revelation 21:3)

All those transfigured souls that filled the New Earth were completely loyal to our Lord and had proven that they would never turn their back on Him.  We were blessed and loved, tested and tried, we endured tragedy and loss, and those that loved praised and glorified the Lord through it all, trusting in Him alone, were rewarded with this great miracle.  We were rewarded with a personal relationship with our God.  We were rewarded with perfect health and eternal life.  We were rewarded with this beautiful new world and this beautiful new city.  Each of us was also rewarded with magnificent mansions within the city walls.  They were beautiful, sprawling, mansions with gorgeous comfortable furnishings.  These were our final homes for eternity.  The vast eons of time we spend on God’s New Earth will only grow sweeter, happier and more fulfilling, filling our lives with joy.  Our service to our Lord and each other will continue throughout eternity, and will primarily involve expressing praise, honor, and glory to our precious Lord.  A precious labor of love.

God said in Revelation 21:6-7.

“…It is done.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
