Transfigured to Serve Chapter 7

Then Jesus spoke, and the spoken words of our Lord completely restored Jerusalem and the Temple.  The armies of Christ occupied the city that afternoon, praising our Lord.  As the afternoon slipped inexorably into the evening we rejoiced, shouting praises and singing and indulging in a humble, but sumptuous feast.  The remnants of humanity that survived the tribulation were attended to worldwide by angels and were provided good food, new wine, shelter, and other immediate needs.  Then they were afforded the first peaceful sleep they had had in years.  We transfigured humans still had no need for sleep, so after the feast and revelry of our triumphant return, we reviewed our plans and addressed last-minute issues of the non-transfigured.  We then just relaxed in the warm evening air, discussing our day and anticipating the next.

Transfigured to Serve Chapter 7

With the sunrise, we again sat down to a delicious meal of simple breads, fruits, and new wine.  All of the people throughout the world were also miraculously treated to this same type of feast, in turn, as dawn broke in each time zone.  It was the first time that they had had two meals in a row in a very long time (for most of them).  But now, each day started in Jerusalem and the successive time zones proceeded from Jerusalem.  The seat of our world government was Jerusalem.  Jerusalem had become the center of the universe.  Praise our Almighty God!  After our breakfast feast the Saints, that were called to travel out from Jerusalem to govern humanity, gathered for their final meeting before starting their work on Earth.  We all gathered outside the city in an assembly area astride our horses in Cavalry formation, and Jesus addressed us.

“Saints of God, be blessed and bless this world and its people.  Spread the gospel to the fragments of humanity that you will govern.  Manage and care for them.  Bring them from their current confused and deplorable state to My saving knowledge and grace.”  Then He prayed a brief prayer.

“Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, bless the things that these wise and faithful servants will do in My name.  Father, for Your kingdom, in accordance with Your gracious will.”

Then he lifted His hands so that His palms were facing us, and I suddenly found myself, my horse Astrid, my Lieutenant Governors, their subordinates and their horses in Augusta, Georgia.  We knew what was going to happen, but it was still a little disquieting to be whisked off and deposited halfway around the globe.  “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way,” instantly passed through my mind in a silent song of trust and obedience resonating in my cranium.  Praise the Lord’s power…and accuracy.

We were standing in front of the Sacred Heart Church that was instantly restored to its former glory, right before our eyes.  We could see because we were deposited there, in Augusta, during a full moon on a beautiful cloudless night.  Even with the moon brilliantly reflecting the light of the sun, it was still a little dark outside, due to the 7 hour time difference between Jerusalem and Augusta.  It was 4:00 a.m. when we arrived.  I communicated our successful arrival to Jerusalem and asked my troops to dismount.

As transfigured beings, we had some rudimentary powers.  We could not be killed, we were eternal, we could traverse long distances through teleportation just by thinking ourselves there, and we could also communicate with each other telepathically over long distances.  This came in handy when coordinating leadership in an area as vast as I was managing.  We couldn’t read each other’s minds, because that would be intrusive and inappropriate.  It was true communication; almost like when you look at a person with the intent to speak to them, and that person knows and recognizes your intent before you say a word.  Our telepathic communication was similar.  Reaching out to someone’s mind was almost like knocking on a door or the gentle touch of a hand on your shoulder.  You just knew that a communiqué was coming and opened your mind to the non-verbal conveyance of information.

Telepathy was also handy for communicating with my Lord in Jerusalem.  So, our immediate telecommunications needs were already met.  We now needed to reestablish leadership throughout my southeastern North American region and then reestablish its infrastructure.  No easy task, but I do like a challenge.

“Okay folks, listen up!”  I said aloud.  “I need my Lieutenant Governors to gather with me here where I’m located, and the rest of you can fellowship, but stay in formation.  Welcome to Georgia!”

I gathered my Lieutenant Governors together, and we headed into what would be our new capital building.  Our horses were cared for by others in our management team.  The lights were on because, in our Lord’s restoration of the building, He repaired, fueled and started the emergency generator as well.  We explored the interior of what was the Sacred Heart Church and determined where the conference rooms were located.  It was a grand building beautifully ornamented and also spacious.  We gathered together and entered into a large conference room, and sat down around a large mahogany table with very comfortable executive-style brown leather office chairs.

“Ladies and gentlemen, obviously, this will be my seat of government, because that was Jesus’ plan from the beginning.  So, as we have discussed in previous briefs, we will establish communications first, then reestablish infrastructure, including a small centralized government here and at the locations, I will designate for each of you.  Then we will need to establish water, sewer, electricity, and waste management, public safety (fire, emergency services, police, and prisons), food supply and distribution and then goods and services supply and distribution.  These are our priorities, and then we can tackle other needs as we have the opportunity.  Does anyone have any last-minute questions?”  I asked.  No one responded with any questions, because they were already well briefed.  I took a map that I had with me and spread it out on the table and continued.

“When we are finished with the meeting, we will assemble our respective staffs and you will proceed to your respective capitals.  So, Randy, I’m sending you south to Macon, Georgia.  Set up your Georgia capital there.  Matthew, I’m sending you north to Greensboro, NC.  Set up your North Carolina capital there.  Darleen, you’ll set up the South Carolina capital in Columbia, South Carolina.  Then last but not least, Abby, set up your Florida capital in Ocala, Florida.  I chose central locations to help facilitate communication and commerce.”

“Sam?  Is Florida as mangled as I have heard?”  Abby asked.

“Yes, Abby, I haven’t seen it for myself yet, but the briefings describe it as devastated by hurricanes and tidal waves, and much of the southern part of the landmass is gone.  You can see it here on the map.  The Lord and I are sending you there because of your compassion.  The people of Florida will need that…they will need you.”

“Thanks, Governor, I’ll make Florida smile again,”  Abby replied.

“I know you will, Abby, I have complete confidence in you, and the rest of you too,” I shared, as I looked into the eyes of each of my Lieutenant Governors.

I shared with my Lieutenant Governors that the building we were meeting in would, from that point on, be referred to as the Sacred Heart Capital of the Province of Carolina, in the Eastern North American Territory, of North America.

“Folks, I chose that name because, way back in 1665 this area of the world was all part of the original Province of Carolina, so I felt it was an appropriate name for our new province,” I shared.

Randy, Matthew, Darleen and Abby all agreed that the new name was well chosen.  The Sacred Heart Capital would soon be a shining light to the remnants of the people of our corner of the world, in what used to be the southeastern states of the United States of America.

Our Sacred Heart Capital building was spectacular, with a towering red brick façade.  It had silver pinnacles topped with silver crosses and also beautiful stained glass windows.  The grounds were beautiful too, with grass, gardens and various deciduous trees.  The interior had a huge sanctuary with soaring ornate columns, stained glass windows, and ornate domed ceilings.  So it was a great place to set up shop and govern the province that our Lord entrusted to me.  This was going to be a big job, but I had very competent Lieutenant Governors and their personnel to help me lead and govern this huge province.

My old friend Gus was in charge of the Eastern North American Territory in what was Eastern North America from the Atlantic and Gulf coasts to the Mississippi River, north past the tip of Lake Superior up to Hudson Bay, and also included my province and five other provinces.  I communicated my plans to both the Eastern North America Territorial Governor (Gus) and Jerusalem and received approval for all that had been done so far.

Then I adjourned the meeting and we all exited through the beautifully ornamented sanctuary of our new capital building.  My Lieutenants went straight to work, gathering their personnel in Cavalry formations.  Randy gathered his staff, mounted up, preceded forward a few steps, and then they vanished, teleporting themselves to Macon, Georgia.  So each of the remaining Lieutenant Governors followed suit, teleporting with their Calvary of personnel to their respective capitals.  I retained a small support staff with me in my Sacred Heart Capital building in Augusta and began organizing them.
