Abby Watson – a transfigured Saint and the first Lieutenant Governor of the Ocala, Florida state capital of the Province of Carolina.
Angels – beings created by God to serve Him and watch over and care for His creations. (See Types of Angels)
Backslidden Christian – a Christian that knows and understands the precepts and wisdom within the Bible and understands what is required of a Christian but often or usually acts and reacts as if they are not a Christian.
Bill Wilson – a friend of Sam Gideon and he attended the same church as Sam before the rapture. Unfortunately, he was left behind.
Born Again – is the condition of being dead to your old sinful life and reborn into a life dedicated to Christ like behavior, to the best of our human abilities, redeemed through the substitutionary and willing sacrifice of our Lord Jesus, forgiven and granted eternal life.
Bottomless Pit – the prison used by God to imprison Satan during the one thousand years of Christ’s Millennial Reign on Earth.
Brenda Duffy – a transfigured Saint and the first Mayor of Geneva, FL at the start of the Millennial Reign.
Calvin Cantelow – Samuel Gideon’s direct supervisor in Jerusalem
Christ – Greek word meaning Messiah, which means Anointed One in Hebrew.
Christian – A person that has dedicated his or her life to Jesus Christ, accepting that He is the Son of God and that He died for our sins and then rose again, and that His willing sacrifice was completed so that we can have a personal relationship with Him, have eternal life and share the Gospel with others.
Compromised Christian – is a Christian that fails to follow the clear teachings of the Bible and attempts to use his or her own acquired knowledge to reinterpret the Bible so that the Bible reconciles with the current social, scientific and philosophical ideas of our society.
David Gideon – Eldest son of Samuel Gideon, married to Diane and father of Kelly and Shelly Gideon.
Darleen Jones – a transfigured Saint and the first Lieutenant Governor of the Columbia, South Carolina state capital of the Province of Carolina.
Demon – Fallen Angel or an Angel that rebelled against God, in league with Satan, just after the creation of the universe.
Diane Gideon – David Gideon’s wife, mother of Kelly and Shelly Gideon
Dinosaurs – Reptile-like animals that, to the best of our knowledge, are extinct.
Donna Dunning – a transfigured Saint and the first Executive Secretary of Governor Samuel Gideon.
Doug Jenson – a transfigured Saint and first Mayor of Taccoa, GA at the start of the Millennial Reign.
Eastern North American Territory – The area governed by Samuel’s old boss, Gus Christopoulos, that included Sam’s territory and 5 others and encompassed all of the Eastern portions of North America.
Evelyn Gideon “Evie” – Samuel Gideon’s wife, who died of ovarian cancer a little more than 2 years before the rapture of the church.
Fallacious – an unsound argument that tends to be misleading or deceptive.
False Prophet – The herald of the Beast (Antichrist) proclaiming the Beast’s kingdom on Earth as if it were benevolent, while in actuality it was malevolent.
God – (Elohim) Yahweh the one true God, the creator, master and sustainer of everything, the God of Israel, the Torah, the Bible and of Christianity.
Grace – the unmerited divine forgiveness of all past, present, and future sins, without exception.
Great Tribulation or Tribulation – The 7 year period of time, after the resurrection of the church, which ushers in the preaching of the False Prophet, the rule of the Antichrist and a virtual “Hell on Earth” for everyone dwelling on the Earth.
Gus Christopoulos – a transfigured Saint, and he is Samuel Gideon’s direct supervisor in Heaven.
Hamon – An angel assigned to mentor and lead Samuel Gideon during his first few days in Heaven.
Heaven – the throne of God and dwelling place of his Angels, as well as, the dwelling place of all that have faithfully served God and were granted His divine grace.
Hell – the temporary dwelling place of the fallen Angel Lucifer (the devil) and the Angels (demons) that followed his rebellion against God, as well as, all the people that have rejected God.
Holy Spirit – the third person in the Godhead, providing leadership and comfort among other things.
Hope and Grace – Sam Gideon’s sisters that didn’t make it to Heaven, because they never accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Jennifer McNeal – she is Sam’s favorite waitress at his favorite restaurant and a fellow member of the church they both attend.
Jesus – the Son of God, the Savior, and Redeemer of all those that believe in Him, God with us in human form. [My Lord and Savior]
Jim Madigan – Samuel Gideon’s barber and friend.
Josh Jenkins – non-transfigured Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina that became the Governor of the Province of Carolina in the 601st year of Jesus Christ’s Millennial Reign.
Kelly & Shelly – David and Diane Gideon’s daughters, Sam’s granddaughters.
Marine reptiles – Dinosaur like aquatic animals that, to the best of our knowledge, are extinct.
Matthew Barrow – a transfigured Saint and the first Lieutenant Governor of the Greensboro, North Carolina state capital of the Province of Carolina.
Millennial Reign – The period of Christ’s reign on Earth after the resurrection of the church and the Great Tribulation.
Mid-tribulation resurrection – Christ returns for the church in the middle of to the tribulation. Most of those that believe in this possibility, believe the church will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air about 3.5 years into the Tribulation.
Nancy Gideon – Tom Gideon’s wife, who was pregnant with their first child.
New Wine – the unfermented juice of grapes
Non-transfigured – the human survivors of the tribulation that were left behind and their dependents, also known as, the sons of man
Pre-tribulation resurrection – Christ returns for the church prior to the Tribulation. I believe the church will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air and ascend into Heaven just prior to the 7 years of Tribulation.
Post-tribulation resurrection – Christ returns for the church after to the Tribulation. Some believe the church will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air and ascend into Heaven after the 7 years of Tribulation.
Prophecy – an inspired prediction of what will happen in the future.
Province of Carolina – Samuel Gideon was chosen by God to be the Governor of this province that included North and South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
Pterosaurs – reptile-like flying animals that, to the best of our knowledge, are extinct.
Randy Black – a transfigured Saint and the first Lieutenant Governor of the Macon, Georgia state capital of the Province of Carolina.
Sacred Heart Capital – it was the capital building of the Province of Carolina.
Saints of God – they are people who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. In this book, they were also resurrected and transfigured (transformed) into eternal beings with new impeccable eternal bodies, as prophesied by God in the Bible.
Samuel Gideon, “Sam” – The story teller and main character in my book. He is a retired business executive and widower, living alone and serving God to the very best of his ability.
Satan – the Devil or Lucifer, the angel that was stupid enough to rebel against God. (He is also known as dragon, red dragon, great dragon, old serpent, the prince of the power of the air, the angel of light.)
Sons of Man – the human descendants of the survivors of the tribulation.
Theropods – Meat eating dinosaurs that, prior to Noah’s flood, ate vegetation, and after the New Earth is created, they will again eat exclusively vegetation.
The Beast – (Antichrist) the third of the unholy trinity of the Devil, False Prophet and Antichrist.
The Church – all those people that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior are the church.
Tom Gideon – Youngest son of Samuel Gideon and husband of Nancy Gideon.
Tom Gideon, Jr. – the child that Tom’s Wife, Nancy, carried in her womb prior to his miraculous transfiguration out of her womb, during the rapture of the church.
Tree of Life – the tree from the Garden of Eden that God gave Adam and Eve to eat from, and the trees in the New Jerusalem that will nourish all those dwelling there, and it will have twelve types of fruit that are replenished every month.
Water of Life – the metaphorical water that quenches our thirst for the Word of God and the prophesied water that will run forth from the throne of God the Father, and God the Son, and will satisfy the thirst of all those that inhabit the New Earth.
Yael – Chief of the Cherubim Angels.
